2 Be active – Being active can actually help keep you motivated and release those feel-good chemicals! Just 15 minutes of aerobic exercise can turn on the BDNF hormone that targets the development of brain cells.

3 Learning a new language (or other skill) – will give you a sense of achievement and a help build confidence.

4 Give to others –  It could be as simple as a smile, a thank you or a kind word. For some ideas check out 18 Acts of Random Kindness

5 Be mindful – The more aware you are of the present moment,  your thoughts and feelings. The more focused you will become. This awareness is known as ‘mindfulness’. Practicing being mindful on a daily basis can positively change the way you feel about life and how you approach challenges.

  1. All your points make excellent advice! But learning, or even only learning a few words andexpressions in a new language, is so satisfying and empowering, I have always felt.
